Your Piano is a WORK OF ART! Would you let your Van Gogh collect dust, your Rolls Royce go for 200,000 miles without an oil change, or use Michelangelo's Statue of David as a pedestal for a potted plant? I hope you wouldn't! And I hope you give your piano the same respect. As we all know, keeping quality musical instruments well maintanined and in tune is so important -- for producing pleasurable music, for insuring the longevity of the instrument, and especially for providing the music artist or student with an instrument which ensures an optimum preforming or learning environment. The piano, above all other instruments, requires careful tuning and maintenace in order to protect the instrument from depreciation in value or performance, and also to enhance artistic expression and optimize learning. In order for the piano student to learn the many different musical skills, such as proper pitch ranges, intervals, and the differentiation between pianissimo and pianoforte', the properly serviced instrument is the single most important piece of the students' musical curriculum, or the artists' medium.

WHO ARE THE PIANO MECHANICS? Let me introduce myself. I'm Roger Warren. My wife, Brenda, and I are The PIANO MECHANICS! I love to work on pianos. It's one of my passions. I love acoustic instruments, and I love old-world mechanical craftsmanship. I love music and I love the many ways that we have invented to create music. And more than that, I love to see our children learning to produce music. It is not only a joy to see and hear, but a scientifically proven method of enhancing learning on all levels. In 1968, my mother took apart her upright grand piano in order to refinish the cabinet, and I immediately became fascinated with the intricate action inside. I loved the complicated disign which enabled a depressed key to ultimately produce music. That same year, my mother brought home a grandfather clock from her childhood home in Connecticut which had been in our family for over 200 years! Watching the wooden works as they moved within the old clock was amazing! After all those years, those pieces of wood and metal, working together in precision, were still able to keep perfect time! These things planted a deep-seated appreciation for workmanship from a proud and skilled era. I wanted to somehow be a part of that kind of work. I would like very much to hear from you!
